Changes to 2026 Season for GEN6BR15 Series
-
The 2026 season will also bring the official return of the Chase playoff format. The Chase will include a 10-race postseason with no eliminations. The top 16 drivers will qualify based on regular-season points. The driver with the highest total after the final race will win the Cup championship. ASRacingN2K3 also increased race-win points from 40 to 55, placing more value on victories.
-
The format also eliminates the “win and you’re in” format, where a driver automatically qualified for the postseason simply by winning a race, no matter what they’ve accomplished the rest of the season,
-
Play-off point system will be eliminated.
-
How are points awarded?
There’s a slight change to the points system for 2026, with more reward for winning. Wins are now worth 55 points, up from 40 points. The remaining positions pay the same as they have (35 for second, 34 for third, 33 for fourth, etc.).
Drivers will also be able to earn additional points through stages. Each race will award points in the first two stages for the top 10 drivers (10 points for first, nine for second, etc.). So, if a driver wins both stages and the race, they can earn a maximum of 75 points in a single race.

What are the BONUS points awarded?
-
Any driver leading a lap will get 1 point
The driver leading the most laps will get 1 point
The driver with the fastest lap in the race will get 1 point,
Drivers who enter the garage during a race will no longer be eligible for the fastest lap bonus point. If the driver’s fastest lap was achieved before they entered the garage, it will still stand.
